Through the International Window Cleaner Certification Institute, individual window cleaners may achieve certification at these different
levels.
Certified
Window Cleaner (CWC) - for those specializing in
ground-based commercial cleaning.
Program Requirements: Student must download the Commercial
Ground Workbook and pass the Commercial Ground exam to achieve this
level of certification.
Certified
Window Cleaner RR (CWC/RR) - for those specializing
in ground-based route/residential operations.
Program Requirements: Student must download the Route/Residential
Workbook and pass the Route/Residential exam to achieve this level
of certification.
Certified
Window Cleaner RDS (CWC/RDS) - for those specializing
in commercial window cleaning using suspended equipment operations
with rope descent systems.
Program Requirements: Student must download the Commercial
Ground and High-Rise Rope Descending System workbooks; and pass only*
the High-Rise Rope Descent System exam to achieve this level of
certification.
Certified Window Cleaner SS (CWC/SS)
- for those specializing in commercial window cleaning using suspended
scaffold equipment operations.
Program Requirements: Student must download the Commercial
Ground and High-Rise Suspended Scaffolding workbooks and pass only*
the High-Rise Suspended Scaffold exam to achieve this level of certification.
Certified Window
Cleaner HRS (CWC/HRS) [HRS denotes High-Rise Specialist] - for those specializing in
commercial window cleaning using both Rope Descending Systems and suspended
scaffold equipment.
Program Requirements: New students must download the Commercial Ground, High-Rise Rope Descending System, and High-Rise Suspended Scaffolding workbooks; and pass only* the
High-Rise Specialist exam.
*These exams
will include test questions covering Commercial Ground Window Cleaning.
